Animal Liberation

Addiction Food has been a proud supporter of Animal Liberation since 1999.

Animal Liberation has a mission to permanently improve the lives of all animals through legislation, consumer advocacy, action, and humane education.

Christine Townend founded Animal Liberation in 1976, based on the philosophies set out by Professor Peter Singer in his best selling book, Animal Liberation.

Liberty Foundation

Addiction Food supports animals coming out of research establishments.

Liberty Foundation (Aust) Limited is a not-for-profit organisation that facilitates the release, rehabilitation and rehoming of animals from research establishments in Australia in order that they may live out the course of their natural lives free from research and scientific experimentation.

In Australia there are millions of animals used for research and experimentation each year, from medical and veterinary research, to product testing and teaching. Many of them die as part of the research. But there are also thousands more that are healthy and can go on to live happy lives at the end of research.

Liberty Foundation was started in 2017 to provide a better outcome than euthanasia for the animals that can achieve good quality of life as pets and companions once they leave research establishments. So far, the organisation has rehomed rats, mice, guinea pigs, fish and dogs.

Sea Shepherd Australia

Sea Shepherd is a global marine conservation movement. Our oceans and its inhabitants are dying from illegal fishing, plastic pollution and the effects of climate change.

Poachers plunder marine life sanctuaries with impunity, and illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing goes unchecked in the high seas far from public scrutiny.
